Thomas Tuchel's England laboured to a 1-1 draw at Wembley against visiting Uruguay, but a shock decision on the pitch has left many stunned.
Ben White's close-range finish at the back post lifted the Three Lions into the lead late on, only for Real Madrid star Fede Valverde to convert from the spot in stoppage time to guarantee the capital stalemate.
But, it was events leading up to the goals that, once again, have brought the standard of officiating across world football into the spotlight.
Manchester United's Manuel Ugarte was booked in the 70th minute by match official Sven Jablonski.
Shockingly, Ugarte was then booked a second time just minutes before White's goal, but somehow not given his marching orders before Marcelo Bielsa hastily subbed him off.
Exactly how this error, and many others, continue to happen, nobody knows.
