A comfortable three-goal win for Manchester City against Paris FC secured the Sky Blues spot in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Goals from Chloe Kelly and Bunny Shaw sealed a resounding 8-0 win on aggregate for Gareth Taylor’s side. The previous leg saw City hit Paris for five on their home soil, with Vivianne Miedema bagging a goal alongside Kelly, Mary Fowler and a Jess Park brace.

Nnadozie; Ould Hocine, Bogaert, Corboz, Bourdieu, Mateo, Le Moulël, Thiney, Greboval, Bussy, Davis
After a slightly delayed start, Chloe Kelly got the scoring action underway just two minutes into the tie. Manchester City dominated much of the tie with Paris struggling to find a real foothold in the opening half. Despite enjoying the majority of the ball, the Sky Blues were unable to add to their lead until deep into the half. An inch perfect pass from Kelly fell to the feet of Shaw, who slotted her effort past the keeper.
Shaw bagged her second of the evening in the 65th minute, firing the ball beyond Chiamaka Nnadozie. Whilst Taylor’s side had several more good chances, they were unable to extend their advantage further. The composed performance once again highlighted the very best of Man City’s game. With fast, direct link up play, Yui Hasegawa was instrumental in orchestrating the rhythm of the game.
The eight goal aggregate lead puts the Sky Blues comfortably through to the group stage of the Champions League. Friday’s group stage draw will see Taylor’s side learn their opponents for the next round of fixtures with City unable to be drawn against Chelsea or Arsenal.
