Valencia returned to work without a rest day before Girona, finding one boost and one concern. Centre-back Unai Núñez trained with the group, while full-back Thierry and Eray Cömert remain doubts.

Wednesday’s session on the grass at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna was tailored for substitutes and those who did not play in the draw at Son Moix hours after the match. According to Radio Marca València, Thierry is awaiting tests to determine the extent of an adductor problem.

Núñez, who did not travel to Mallorca due to injury, rejoined the group. If his progress on Thursday and Friday stays positive, he could be available for Valencia vs Girona at Mestalla on Saturday at 18:30.

On loan from Celta de Vigo, he sustained an issue in his right hamstring region during the meeting with the Galicians. He then missed the matches in Elche and Mallorca, when Valencia fielded a makeshift defence, especially in Palma.

In Mallorca on Tuesday, the Argentine Renzo Saravia made his Valencia debut at right-back after arriving on a free at the end of January. Depending on how Núñez and Cömert progress, Corberán must choose between using the Basque on the right or keeping Saravia.

Cömert remained indoors for physiotherapy on an abdominal problem, so his involvement looks less likely than Núñez given the short turnaround. Everything points to Thierry Rendall not featuring against Girona.
