Sadiq stood out in the rain as Valencia kept Burgos at bay in the Copa. Iranzo headed in from an Almeida corner, and Sadiq later made it 0-2. AS notes the striker’s effectiveness on a heavy pitch.
Dimitrievski started again and kept a clean sheet, well positioned at his near post after a Mollejo burst and assured under high balls. In front, Tárrega impressed in the air and in the tackle before a half-time withdrawal to manage minutes.
Iranzo added thrust down the flank after his goal. Cömert looked uncertain, with Mollejo beating him to a hanging delivery that nearly cost Valencia, while Vázquez grew in security as the half wore on.
After the break, Diego López shot from the edge and later began the move that ended with Sadiq’s finish. Ramazani’s speed was clear, his final ball mixed, yet his link with Sadiq produced the second. Javi Guerra adjusted and carried the ball when Burgos pressed.
Dimitrievski also saved well from an Appin header. Santamaría anchored midfield with authority despite inactivity, and Almeida gave structure to attacks on a surface that did not suit him.
From the bench, Copete read the conditions quickly and twice denied danger, including a key intervention on Mollejo. Hugo Duro grafted without chances, Rioja worked the right, Danjuma spurned two late openings, and Foulquier closed the flank.
