Vancouver extends Thomas Müller

Thomas Müller is staying in MLS. The Vancouver Whitecaps have confirmed that the option to extend his contract for one more year has been activated. The 36-year-old German will therefore continue with the club through 2026.

Arriving last summer after leaving Bayern Munich, where he spent 25 years, Müller quickly established himself as one of the league’s standout figures. His initial contract ran until the end of 2025, but Vancouver has decided to keep him for an additional season.

The club is coming off a defeat in the MLS final against Inter Miami. After the loss, Müller promised on Instagram: "We’ll be back." And he’ll be right there to try and make good on that promise.
