Vasco da Gama are not expected to renew their front-of-shirt sponsorship with Betfair beyond 2025, with the club already eyeing a new partner for 2026.
SBT Rio reports that talks are under way with another company and that Vasco aim to double the sum currently paid by Betfair.
The relationship between club and sponsor is understood not to be at its best, a factor behind the decision to look elsewhere. A clause to extend the deal by a further two years exists, but it is not a priority for the board.
Vasco also believe they are in a new institutional and market phase, which has prompted a reassessment of principal sponsorship values.
A key driver is the arrival of Nike as kit supplier on a seven-year contract, replacing Kappa from 2026. The tie-up is expected to boost international visibility and strengthen the club’s commercial position, especially on the main shirt.
There had been speculation that Betnacional, part of Flutter Brazil, the same group as Betfair in Brazil, could take the slot as happened at Cruzeiro. However, Jogada10 reports that the chances of such a move are low.
With the Betfair agreement due to expire at the end of 2025, Vasco are expected to step up their search for a more lucrative 2026 front-of-shirt deal in the coming months.
