FC Barcelona defeated Osasuna 3-0 last night as the game for matchday 27, which was postponed due to Dr. Carles Minarro’s death, was played at the Montjuic.

This win puts the Blaugranes three points clear of Real Madrid on the La Liga table and also allowed Robert Lewandowski to get another goal in his race with Kylian Mbappe for the Pichichi.

Still, Hansi Flick was not fully happy with the events of the previous night, especially because of the injury suffered by Dani Olmo, and aired his concerns in the presser after the game.

But in addition to these concerns, the German coach also talked about some positive aspects of this game. One of the more notable events from the game against Osasuna was Gavi, who returned to the starting lineup, taking the captain’s armband.

As SPORT has reported, the German head coach commented on this matter and highlighted the midfielder’s commitment after the game:

“Wearing the armband means a lot to Gavi. He played a great game today. I’m very proud of him. It hasn’t been easy for him—after his injury, he played, but lately, he’s been spending more time on the bench. Even so, he’s always very focused on what he needs to do.”

This would definitely have been a memorable moment for the young midfielder, who also had a very good game overall. He not only put in his characteristic spirit and passion on the pitch but also showed the technical side of his game, which was commendable keeping in view the little prominence he has had in recent weeks.

Hopefully, Gavi will be able to put in similar displays for Barcelona as he continues to get back to his best physical level, especially as Marc Casado is injured and he will be getting more opportunities going ahead into a very hectic part of the season.
