Bayern Munich do not want to try to sign Vinicius Jr this summer.
This comes amid reports suggesting that the Real Madrid star could be on the market ahead of his contract expiring in the summer of 2027.
The Brazil international has registered 17 goals and 13 assists in 45 games (across all competitions) in the 2025/26 season.
While there is an appreciation for the quality the 25-year-old possesses (as there might be at any club in world football), Vinicius Jr is not on FC Bayern’s radar.
“It is NOT TRUE: Bayern want to try and sign Vinicius Jr,” Christian Falk exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider.
“He’s a very special guy and brilliant on the pitch, but he’s not a Bayern Munich player. He brings something with him, his image, which doesn’t fit with Munich. They also wouldn’t want to spend so much money on his salary. So, I think it’s a bit too difficult of a poker game for FC Bayern.
“He was offered to the Premier League and some clubs there. There were rumours about Arsenal, Man City and other clubs. Now, perhaps, they’re trying to do that with Bayern Munich – but no way! He won’t play for Bayern Munich.
“Also, in the past, there were many similar examples, but ultimately Bayern doesn’t want a big celebrity image, as it can destroy a team!”
Concerns over how the celebrity of such a player might fit in with the environment in Munich are entirely reasonable.

Vincent Kompany’s men have created a sense of togetherness at the Allianz Arena – a delicate balance they’d do well to preserve over the coming years.
More to the point, and not to disrespect the quality of Vinicius Jr, but where would be the gain in pushing Luis Diaz to the side?
The Colombian has been one of FC Bayern’s top performers this term since his summer switch from Premier League champions Liverpool.
