Brazil’s new head coach Carlo Ancelotti's delivered clear & motivating message to Neymar urging the Santos forward to focus on full fitness in order to play a key role at the 2026 World cup.

Injuries Keep Neymar Out

The 32 year old missed Brazil’s recent qualifiers against Chile & Bolivia after suffering an injury setback.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil, the Italian tactician said:

"We don’t need to watch Neymar to know his talent (everyone knows it). But in modern football, physical condition's vital. If he’s at his best physically, he'll have no problem joining the national team"

Possible New Role for Neymar

Ancelotti also hinted at positional switch:

"He cannot play wide anymore because the game demands extreme physical intensity from wingers. But he can fit perfectly as attacking midfielder"

Brazil’s Road Ahead

Already qualified for the 2026 World cup in Canada, USA and Mexico, Brazil will face South Korea in friendly in Seoul on 10 October as part of their preparations.
