Chelsea have done it! The Blues have got level against PSG.
An early goal to the hosts had the stadium rocking, but Liam Rosenior’s team were fearless in getting back into this.
There is plenty of space in this game, and Chelsea made great use of it here. Moises Caicedo was able to just prod the ball to Enzo Fernandez in space in the Parisians’ half, and the Argentine saw a great run from Malo Gusto down the far side.
Bradley Barcola had totally switched off and let him run, and Gusto was clear in on goal thanks to a good pass from Enzo. The Frenchman hit a finish through the goalkeeper, showing surprising calm to slot his first ever Champions League goal.
You can see the goal in the clips embedded here:
What was really impressive here was how Chelsea reacted to going a goal behind. They were fearless and they need to keep that up now. There are more goals in this for them, but they need to keep their composure.
Liam Rosenior spoke before this game about the team he’s selected, with controversial calls in goal and midfield.
Rosenior also spoke about how he wanted to give his players more confidence and convince them to not be afraid against a beatable PSG team.
One person who won’t be delighted right now is Andrey Santos, who has lost his place in Liam Rosenior’s first team for now.
