Didier Deschamps expressed satisfaction with France’s performance & strongly defended Adrien Rabiot after the midfielder was booed by sections of the crowd during Les Bleus latest win.

Praise for Mbappé’s form

Speaking to TF1, Deschamps hailed Kylian Mbappe’s sharpness and influence stressing his importance as leader.

"He's at full fitness working hard, scoring goals and linking well with Michael Olise" he said.

The forward's now netted twice in his last 2 game underlining his efficiency.

Reaction to the red card

The France coach admitted the dismissal of Aurelien Tchouameni forced his side into tougher battle.

"With 10 men, we'd to work harder. We created chances but against deep defensive block, you need quicker ball circulation" he explained.

Deschamps hit out at the whistles aimed at Rabiot when he entered in the 70 minute. Many PSG fans still resent the midfielder for forcing his exit in 2019 before later returning to France with rivals Marseille.

"It's unacceptable. He represents the French national team. At club level it’s different but for Les Bleus, he's French like the rest" Deschamps insisted.

Tension with PSG fans

The boos came amid wider tension between Paris Saint Germain supporters & the French national team, particularly after recent injuries to Ousmane Dembele & Desire Doue during international duty.

Deschamps himself was also targeted by whistles before kick off.
