Romelu Lukaku has celebrated Napoli’s Scudetto glory “against all odds” after an impressive debut season with the Partenopei.

The Belgian striker scored 14 goals and assisted a further ten as Napoli beat Inter to the Serie A title on the last day of the season.

Lukaku cost Napoli just €30 million last summer as he joined from Premier League side Chelsea and has repaid his club’s faith in him as he was instrumental throughout the campaign.

He will be hoping to repeat his triumphs next season as he is joined by compatriot Kevin De Bruyne after the midfielder departed Manchester City.

Lukaku has faced much criticism throughout his career and has responded on Instagram with a montage of his performance at Napoli following snippets of various media outlets criticising him as a player.
