Chelsea winger Pedro Neto was involved in a spat on the sidelines late in today’s game when he bumped a ball boy who was avoiding handing it back to the Portugal star.

The kid went down like he was shot, rolling all over the floor, and after there was a load of handbags between all the players. Post game, Pedro Neto has apologised.

Of course we know WHY Neto is apologising – he’s trying to get ahead of the negative PR. But it’s just so pathetic. The ball boy got a mild shove and went down like a player diving. Then we all have to pretend it’s “great to see he’s not injured.”

Come on. Why are we pretending it even hurt?

Chelsea lose their focus after ballboy incident

What was most frustrating about the whole incident was that it seemed to break Chelsea’s concentration, and PSG squeezed in another, killer goal shortly afterwards.

While the ballboy shouldn’t have acted like such a baby, the Blues players need to learn to keep their heads. How many times have we said that before?

In other news…

Another notable post match video was a clip of Enzo Fernandez bawling at Filip Jorgensen after his silly error.

Chelsea’s second goal was a superb counter from Pedro Neto, who burst forward then stayed alert to pick out Enzo Fernandez’s run.

The opening Chelsea goal was a really nice one, with Malo Gusto finding space down the right to dash forwards into.
