Italy World Cup winner Luca Toni praised Harry Kane following Bayern Munich’s 4-1 win over Atalanta last night: ‘Coming from a top No.9 like you, it’s special words,’ the English forward replied.

Kane scored twice in Bayern Munich’s 4-1 win over Atalanta on Wednesday, contributing to the Bavarians’ 10-2 win on aggregate.

During his post-match interview with Prime Video Italia, Kane said he was “proud” of his goals, especially the second one.

“It’s one of my favourite goals in my career,” said the English star.

“It’s a mixture of skill, technique, balance and obviously, the finish as well. In the moment, it felt really special.”

Ex-Italy and Bayern Munich star Toni commented on the game as a pundit for Prime Video and told Kane: “I’m in love with him in footballing terms, because he’s one of the last physical centre-forwards. There are many false nines, but he’s the best centre-forward in the world right now.”

The Bayern Munich star replied: “I appreciate it. Coming from a top No.9 like you, it’s special words, thank you.”
