Villa confirm Gomes signing and target attacking additions with Rogers close to departing | OneFootball

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Joao Gomes from rivals Wolves.

Villa have paid a fee of around £38m for the Brazil midfielder, who has been capped ten times by his country.

The 25-year-old’s arrival comes after the departure of Youri Tielemans to Manchester United, while Amadou Onana is set to miss the majority of next season with a knee injury.

Villa have also added midfielder Johan Manzambi to Unai Emery’s squad this summer, and will now turn their attentions to bringing in attacking reinforcements with Morgan Rogers set to depart for Chelsea in a £117m deal.

Nicolas Jackson, Jonathan Rowe and Marcus Rashford are among the players to have been discussed by Villa, who are also in talks over a move for AC Milan defender Pervis Estupinan.
