Four games and still no goals for Unai Emery's Aston Villa after they drew away to Everton in a game in which the Toffees should have won.

Former Villa man Jack Grealish had also not scored in any of his games against his former club but the Premier League's Player of the Month tried his best to get things moving on Merseyside.

Indeed, the home side should have won the game. Beto in particular was guilty of missing excellent chances for the Toffees.

Emiliano Martínez almost left the club during the transfer window but fans will be happy that the Argentinian stayed with the goalkeeper a key part in his side keeping a clean sheet.

Emery tried to change things for his side in the second half, Harvey Elliott made his debut from the bench in the second half–as did Vitor Lindelöf although not for creative purposes– although Jadon Sancho remained on the bench.

But ultimately, this was two points dropped for David Moyes' side who, with better finishing, could easily have claimed all three points.
