Villarreal director Miguel Ángel Tena García named Almassorí de l’Any | OneFootball

Villarreal CF’s director of professional football, Miguel Ángel Tena García, has been named Almassorí de l’Any, an award founded in 2006 by Editorial PARLEM to recognise the careers of people or entities from Almassora.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, marking its 20th anniversary, Tena will receive the honour at a gala on 26 September 2026 at Victoria Eventos, Almassora.

The jury comprises five people from varied social and professional backgrounds and ages.

Past winners have included doctors, painters, teachers, the Municipal Band, Cáritas, costume makers and professional singers.

The Almassorí de l’Any is the most important annual distinction available to an individual or organisation from the town.

The award will be presented by the mayor, María Tormo, and Editorial PARLEM director Javier Navarro.
