Villarreal star agrees Rayo Vallecano move | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at Villarreal is all set to link up with La Liga rivals Rayo Vallecano for the 2nd half of the campaign.

The player in question? Ilias Akhomach.

Youngster Akhomach is for his part fresh off playing his part in Morocco’s devastating AFCON final defeat this past weekend.

Prior to as much, though, the 21-year-old had also been enduring a tough time of things at club level.

Amid what has been an impressive La Liga campaign to date on the part of Villarreal, Akhomach was afforded starts in just two fixtures.

Such woes had long given rise to speculation that the former Barcelona talent could be on the move during the winter transfer window.

And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, confirmation of as much has arrived.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘Ilias Akhomach joins Rayo Vallecano on loan deal from Villarreal until the end of the season.’
