According to the BBC, Vini Jr is among the favourites to win the World Cup Golden Boot. The former Flamengo forward is regarded as one of the standout players in the game.
Also named were Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo, making Vini Jr the only Brazilian on the list.

Vini Jr is the leading figure for Brazil. The number seven has started all of the team's recent matches under coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Brazil share a group with Morocco, Haiti and Scotland. Of the four sides, only two will progress, and Brazil are seen as favourites to top the section.
Brazil begin their campaign against Morocco on 13 June at 19:00 Brasília time.
