Vinicius Junior put Brazil ahead against Panama in a World Cup warm-up at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro.
According to L'Équipe, it was Brazil's first preparatory outing for the tournament.
The Real Madrid forward struck after 59 seconds. Laid on by former team-mate Casemiro, he drove a powerful right-footed shot from around 20 metres, just outside the D, that nestled in the top right corner beyond Orlando Mosquera.
It was his first Brazil goal since 10 October, which came in a 5-0 win over South Korea.
Panama are not qualified for the World Cup.
Brazil will face Morocco, Haiti and Scotland in the group stage.
