Palmeiras forward Vitor Roque underwent successful surgery on his left ankle on Friday and will not play again until after the World Cup.
According to Globo.com, he will begin rehabilitation at the club’s Academia de Futebol next week.

He has battled ankle issues since the start of the season and missed about 40 days after the Campeonato Paulista final because of pain.
In his first start after returning last week, against Jacuipense, he suffered a challenge on the same ankle and was substituted.
The club’s medical department then deemed surgery necessary to resolve the issue. In his absence, Sosa has been starting.
