Vitória are set to buy Corinthians loanee Cacá at the end of the season after the defender met loan targets, with payment terms still to be agreed. He would join permanently from 2027.

"We will align with Corinthians only on the payment model, how it will be done. It is a signing we will have to complete, because he met the targets set," said football director Sérgio Papellin. He told Canto Rubro-Negro.

The fee is around R$ 15 million, with Corinthians holding 90 percent of his economic rights. The obligation is linked to targets in the February loan, including appearances, and depends on Vitória staying in Série A. They are 11th on 20 points.

"Supporters must understand Vitória have financial limitations. We cannot irresponsibly take on commitments we cannot meet. As resources come in, we will settle the payments for signings we have to make," Papellin added.

Since arriving in Salvador, Cacá has been a fixture, making 25 appearances and playing just over 2,000 minutes, with one goal. He helped secure Vitória’s fifth Copa do Nordeste title in June.

He faced Corinthians in a 0-0 at Barradão, with Vitória paying R$ 1 million to field him. Corinthians hold his deal until the end of 2028, and Vitória are covering his wages during the loan.

He arrived at Corinthians from Tokushima Vortis in 2024 and later made the move permanent. He played 72 times, starting 65, scoring eight with one assist, and lifted the 2025 Paulista, the 2025 Copa do Brasil and the 2026 Supercopa do Brasil.
