Viwone, the headphone brand fronted by Blaise Matuidi and Karl Toko Ekambi, sponsors several Ligue 1 clubs while facing fraud claims from Booba and a €14 million demand from Lassana Diarra. Founder Omar Sylla has countered with a complaint for forgery.
According to L'Équipe, Sylla, also known as Omar Bounamin, is presented as a sheikh but remains opaque. Documents indicate a 1980 birth in Riyadh, his social media is shut, and his entourage declined comment.
Viwone’s logo has featured with LOSC, Angers, Monaco and Montpellier, and with Nanterre basketball, whose president said a brief €10,000 deal was paid after a visit to a lavish setting.
Despite glossy marketing, the headphones are scarcely available and only on pre‑order via Viwone’s site. Stock seized in spring at Diarra’s request was later annulled by a Paris court on 3 December.
Booba has attacked Sylla on X since 2023, alleging the product does not exist. An associate of Sylla insists the headset is real and blames a campaign, while LOSC backed away, Monaco completed January to June 2023, and Montpellier ended after part payment.
Diarra says he sent €14 million from 2018 to 2022 through 31 transfers to firms in China and Hong Kong, alleging Blue Diamond Ltd routed funds back and paid at least €941,000 to Viwone via sham sales. The case is pending and Sylla, who denies the signatures, has lodged a forgery complaint. His camp says accounts show activity and stock and that Chinese links are limited to an Asian partner.
