Santos remain active in the transfer market, with Juan Pablo Vojvoda handing minutes to recent signings and urging patience in what he views as a difficult window.
According to Globo.com, the club also want a centre-back and are open to further moves before the Copa do Brasil and Sul-Americana, with Vojvoda involved in the search.
In the heavy win over Velo Clube, Gabigol and Moisés started. Gabriel Menino came on to score a superb goal, while Rony featured from the bench, and the quartet should continue to get chances across the season.
Vojvoda highlighted that Gabriel and Gabriel Menino both scored, as did Moisés, and praised the board’s work to bring in Rony. He acknowledged supporters’ impatience, stressing that recruitment is handled by a dedicated department, the market is challenging and progress takes time.
Christian Oliva has an agreement in place to join from Nacional and is expected this week for medical tests ahead of an announcement. Vojvoda declined to discuss him, saying he prefers to focus on players already in the squad and to keep working with humility.
Santos’ 2026 arrivals so far are Gabriel Barbosa from Cruzeiro, Rony from Atlético-MG, Moisés from Fortaleza and Gabriel Menino from Atlético-MG.
