Victories over Chelsea and Leicester City saw us maintain our place at the top of the WSL.

And although our unbeaten streak ended against Arsenal in the league, an FA Cup fifth round victory over Sheffield United granted us progression to the quarter-final where we face Birmingham City away from home.

Across those outings there were numerous fantastic displays, but who has received a nomination for February’s Etihad Player of the Month award?

Find out below and cast your vote ahead of the winner being announced next week!

Kerolin

Kerolin continued her fine scoring form as she opened the month with a hat-trick against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.

It marked her first trio of goals in a singular game for City as she once again stepped up to deliver a phenomenal display.

Her second strike of the game in particular showed the incredible confidence she’s playing with and the relationship she has with Bunny Shaw as the pair linked up on numerous occasions.

She then followed it up by adding her name to the scoresheet in a goal-fest against Leicester.

The Brazilian started every WSL game for us this month and now has 11 goal involvements in nine games this season.

Vivianne Miedema

Also involved in all league games this month, Vivianne Miedema kicked off her account against Chelsea to round of a superb 5-1 victory in front of the City fans.

The Dutch international’s reputation as one of the WSL’s most dangerous attackers precedes itself, but our number 10 was at her best under the Joie lights against Leicester.

Awarded far too much space by the Foxes, Viv was a constant menace and could even have had a third or fourth if not for the woodwork and a couple of late blocks.

The WSL’s record goalscorer, Miedema is rapidly approaching 100 in the top flight and is now only behind Shaw in the rankings for 2025/26.

Lauren Hemp

Lauren Hemp started every game for City in February and despite not finding the net against Chelsea, the England international proved a real threat and later sliding Kerolin in to record her hat-trick.

She was then assisting again for Bunny Shaw as she opened the scoring against Leicester as City provided the perfect response to being beaten in the WSL for the first time since September.

It was a performance that earnt her Player of the Match as the England winger was simply unplayable at times, recording two assists in a phenomenal display.

Hemp’s energy and quality lit up a freezing night at the Joie, and she was perhaps the standout in an excellent overall team display.

Eventually she would go on to record two goals against Sheffield United netting almost identical goals, both of which were provided by Iman Beney.

She was once again awarded Player of the Match in the FA Cup fifth round after she set the tone for the game early on, and it was a perfect way to get things going.

Hemp was a constant threat, not just with her goals but her speed, as always, behind the Sheffield United defence, causing problems all afternoon.

Another dominant performance at the Joie Stadium for Hemp would have been the perfect way for her to head off on international duty.
