Harvey Elliot is understood to be a £40m target of West Ham this summer.

The 22 year old attacking midfielder, who is currently shining for the England U21’s this summer, has been urged to move from his boyhood club Liverpool this transfer window, with fears in his camp he is wasting valuable years as a bit-part player on Merseyside.

This also follows reports that the West Ham board are set to inject £90m into the club to help spearhead the transfer window, should the sales of Mohammed Kudus, Edson Alvarez and Nayef Aguerd continue to drag.

Elliot would be seen as a huge statement signing for both the club and Graham Potter, who are desperate to turn a corner and kick off a new era and style at West Ham this season.

Although no dates have been released on when this injection will be implemented, it’s likely that July 1st will be a date of potential consequence.
