Erling Haaland, whose second-half strike proved to be the winner, was spotted singing “Ooh, I’ve got a good feeling” directly into a pitch-side camera after the final whistle at the Etihad.
The clip, which has gone viral across social media shows a jubilant Haaland walking down with a massive grin that suggested he knew exactly how much the result meant for the title race, before singing the line from the famous Flo Rida track, “Good Feeling.”
Watch the viral video below:
It was his performance on the pitch that gave him a reason to sing. Entering the match, much of the talk had centered on Haaland’s perceived dip in form and whether he could still deliver in the biggest moments.
He answered those critics in the 65th minute. After Rodri’s presence in the box caused chaos among the Arsenal defenders, the ball fell to Haaland, who instinctively swept it home with a clinical first-time finish.
It was his 14th Premier League goal against the big six, proving that even during a quieter statistical season, he remains the ultimate big-game player.
By securing the three points, Haaland has dragged City to within three points of the Gunners with a game in hand, making that “good feeling” a reality for everyone in blue.
For Arsenal, the defeat means there is no margin for error. If City win their game in hand, they will be level on points with Mikel Arteta’s side who have been top of the table for most of the season.
If City successfully overtake Arsenal and win the Premier League, it will put a massive question mark on Arteta as this could be his biggest bottle job as yet.
