Robert Lewandowski got back to scoring ways as he scored an important goal last night to lead his FC Barcelona side to a 1-2 win against Osasuna at El Sadar. The Polish veteran opened the scoring in the game in the 81st minute.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the Pole also talked to the media after the game, and expressed his team’s collective aspiration to reach the 100-point mark in La Liga:

“Our goal is to win every match, and we want 100 points. I don’t know how many points are left to win the league, but we have four matches, and we have to win them all.”

The striker also commented on the difficulty of the match:

“I’m very happy that we won today, and I also scored an important goal for 1–0. In a match like today, you have to fight until the end. Before the match, we talked about how it’s not easy to win here. It’s not an easy stadium. In the first half, we played very slowly, a bit too much with the ball. We couldn’t get into the box to cross, but in the second half we were a bit better, and in the end we have three points.”

Lewandowski also highlighted how good the pass was from Marcus Rashford that led to his goal:

“I saw that Marcus had space to cross. Sometimes power isn’t important—it’s more important to put the cross in the right spot, and for me it was a fantastic ball.”

For now, the Pole was not keen to talk about winning and celebrating the league title:

“It would be a wonderful moment to win La Liga. Celebrating with the fans and having a parade through the city would also be very beautiful. Until we actually win the league, it’s better not to talk about it.”

This is already Robert Lewandowski’s last year on his Barcelona contract, and these could be his very last matches in the blue and garnet shirt, as it is not yet decided whether he will continue here beyond the current season. Hopefully, he gets some more goals before his departure to bid his farewell in a memorable fashion.
