Graham Potter insists unity remains intact at West Ham despite mounting pressure over his position and growing unrest among supporters.
The Hammers have endured a faltering start to the new Premier League campaign, losing three of their opening four matches to sink into the relegation zone. The poor form has revived concerns after last season’s uninspiring finish, while fans are planning protests ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Crystal Palace.
In response, the club issued a statement this week acknowledging the difficult run and pledging swift improvement. Yet Potter, who was appointed to bring stability and a progressive style to London Stadium, struck a conciliatory tone when addressing speculation over his future.
“If you don’t win as much as you’d like, there’s always noise, pressure, criticism, that’s fair,” Potter said, reported by Sky Sports. “Everybody wants West Ham to do well: the fans, the players, my staff, the board. We’re all on the same page in that sense, and we’re all hurt the same way.” Potter admitted criticism must be listened to, but emphasised resilience. “We’ll stick together because that’s part of this club. At the same time, you have to hear the feedback and think about how to improve.”
