It's been a disappointing season for West Brom thus far, but their misery likely won't be compiled by a couple of star attacking midfielders, Isaac Price and Mikey Johnston, departing the club this January.

A January arrival this time last season, Price has started to come into his own in his first full campaign after signing from Belgian side Standard Liege.

Johsnton has arguably been one of West Brom's best players this season, contributing plenty of assists to have him right at the top of the playmaking charts in the Championship this season.

Both incredible talents, and both set to remain at The Hawthorns for at least the rest of this term, according to FLW's Baggies fan pundit, Callum Burgess.

However, if either of them do depart the club this month, Burgess believes that West Brom could secure seven-figure fees for them both individually.

Ideal price tag put on West Brom duo Mikey Johnston & Isaac Price

Burgess isn't worried about potential suitors for Price or Johnston, as he feels that neither are ready to attract Premier League sides, and top Championship clubs may be looking at low-end top flight players from England or abroad to improve, rather than poach the best players from sides below them.

"I'm personally not too concerned over Price or Johnston having any potential suitors this month," Callum told Football League World.

"I wouldn't expect any Premier League team to make a move for them because you'd probably say they're not ready for the level, and top six Championship teams will likely have other priorities, too.

"So I'm not really concerned about either of them moving on this month."

On how much he feels West Brom could recoup for their services if an offer came in this month, the fan pundit felt that both of them could go for similar fees to the £10 million that Tom Fellows was sold for this past summer.

"You'd probably expect fees in the region of £10 million for Price at least, and £8 million-£10 million for Johnston."

Right now, it would be difficult for any side to fork out that much for the duo, but some Baggies fans would believe these fees to be about right, especially for Price, given his potential.

Therefore, Burgess' prediction of them sticking around at The Hawthorns for the time being may prove to be correct.

£10 million price tag may be good value for Isaac Price and Mikey Johnston

At just 22, Price is highly regarded as one of the brightest stars in the Championship this season.

With 50 top flight appearances in Belgium and 28 Northern Ireland caps, the Baggies attacking midfielder was a coup at just £2.5 million last January, and West Brom fans wouldn't be happy to see him go for anything less than £10 million anytime soon.

As for Johnston, the Irishman was actually linked with a £5 million move to Brazilian side Flamengo over the summer following a down campaign where the 26-year-old scored three and assisted five in 40 games.

Therefore, now that he's seemingly back to the performance levels which saw him make a £3 million switch to Albion from Celtic at the start of last season after a strong loan run in 2023/24, you'd expect that the asking price may be even higher.

The valuation may, to others, seem rather high, and that could also be why interest in the talented duo has been low this January, but for West Brom fans, they'd be frustrated to see anything less than seven-figures come into the club if either were to leave.
