Blackburn Rovers have been granted special permission to change two places in their 25-man squad for the rest of the season. The move comes as they battle West Brom to avoid relegation from the Championship.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Redmond has been added to the list after signing last week, and a defensive registration has also been altered due to injuries. Rovers sit 19th and are level on points with Albion.

With Sondre Tronstad and Lewis Miller sidelined, Rovers have deregistered the pair and reregistered George Pratt, who had been on loan at Chorley.

EFL regulations allow clubs to seek approval to amend their squad lists by a specified date.

The mechanism has precedent. Last season, Portsmouth removed defender Ibane Bowat after a knee injury and replaced him with Colby Bishop.
