West Brom’s trip to Middlesbrough picked for live ITV coverage | OneFootball

West Bromwich Albion’s trip to Middlesbrough at The Riverside Stadium on Saturday, August 29 will be shown live on ITV1, with a 12.30pm kick-off.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, it is one of five Championship fixtures selected for live broadcast on the channel before the end of 2026. Also chosen are derbies between Millwall and West Ham, Southampton and Portsmouth, and Burnley and Blackburn, plus Blues against West Ham.

The match had already been picked by Sky Sports, but will also be free to watch on terrestrial television via ITV’s main channel.

The Boro game is among five Baggies fixtures moved for broadcast in the first batch of the new campaign, which includes Saturday’s EFL Cup curtain-raiser at Rotherham, now a 5.30pm kick-off on Sky.

Albion’s opening home match against Burnley on Sunday, August 23 is a midday start, with QPR visiting The Hawthorns on Saturday, September 12 for a lunchtime kick-off. The first Black Country Derby of the season at Molineux is on Sunday, September 20 at midday in front of the Sky cameras.
