West Ham complete signing of Adama Traore from Fulham | OneFootball

West Ham United have completed the signing of Adama Traore from Fulham.  

According to BBC Sport, the 30-year-old has joined the Hammers in a deal worth up to £2 million. 

Traore enjoys a good relationship with head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, with the pair having worked together at Wolverhampton Wanderers. 

The Spaniard hopes to revive his career in East London after struggling for game time under Marco Silva at Fulham. He made only one Premier League start for the Cottagers this season. 

In a statement to whufc.com, Traore said: “I’m so happy to be here, so happy to help the team the maximum I can and show my quality.

“I’ve been seeing West Ham for a long time. It’s a massive club, a massive fanbase. I’ve been watching since I was young, when I watched a film about West Ham. I know about the fans and how much passion they have.”

Traore boasts plenty of experience at the top level of football, having played for the likes of Barcelona, Aston Villa, Wolves and Fulham. 

He is a versatile forward who is strong, quick and able to create and score goals. 

West Ham have had a busy winter transfer window so far, as they look to make a big comeback during the second-half of the season to survive in the top-flight. 

The Irons signed Pablo Felipe for a £21.8m fee before adding Taty Castellanos to the squad in a deal worth £25.2m. 

They are also in discussions with Flamengo to sell Lucas Paqueta. 

Guido Rodriguez and Luis Guilherme have left to join Valencia and Sporting Lisbon respectively, while Niclas Fullkrug has joined AC Milan on loan. 

West Ham claimed back-to-back wins against Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland, but are still five points away from safety.
