To say it's been a dismal start to the new season for West Ham would be an understatement.
Following their 3-0 loss at the hands of Sunderland last time out, they now find themselves 5-1 down against Chelsea with 30 minutes left to play at the London Stadium.
Despite taking an early lead through Lucas Paquetá in the first half, the visitors quickly got themselves back into the game and stormed into a comfortable lead by the hour mark.
The eight goals they have conceded is the most they have ever let in during the opening two games of a top-flight season.
It’s going to be a long campaign for the Hammers if they fail to resolve their defensive frailties.
