West Ham set price tag for Paqueta amid failed Flamengo bid | OneFootball

West Ham have rejected a new offer from Flamengo for Lucas Paqueta, with the proposal falling below the club’s valuation of the midfielder.

Flamengo are pushing hard to bring the Brazil international back to South America, and Paqueta has informed West Ham of his interest in completing the move.

However, a deal remains far off at present after Flamengo failed with their latest offer. Transfer insider Ben Jacobs has revealed that Flamengo’s latest offer was an initial €35m (£30.3m) with a further €5m (£4.3m) in potential add-ons.

West Ham have turned down the bid and value Paqueta at more than €45m (£39m). The East Londoners would also prefer to keep the midfielder until the summer as the club battle against Premier League relegation.

Talks are ongoing with Paqueta pushing for the transfer. The 28-year-old has scored four goals in 18 league appearances for the Hammers so far this season.
