Striker joins after another injury-hit season with Newcastle
West Ham are set to sign Callum Wilson on a free transfer.
The 33-year-old, who has already completed a medical, has agreed a one-year contract with a heavily incentive-based salary.
The striker will join the squad upon their return from their pre-season tour of the United States, where they are contesting the Premier League Summer Series.
Wilson endured another injury-hit season at Newcastle last year, starting just two Premier League games.
The former Bournemouth hitman suffered back and hamstring injuries and failed to find the net once in the league for the first time in his professional career.
West Ham were in the market for a striker this summer and identified Wilson, who has scored 88 Premier League goals, as a Premier League-proven option up top.
Wilson becomes West Ham’s third signing of the window after the arrivals of El Hadji Malick Diouf and Kyle Walker-Peters.
Michail Antonio last month scored twice on his first start his horror car crash in December 2024.
The 35-year-old was named in the West Ham Under-21s starting XI to face Boreham Wood and scored twice in the first 20 minutes.
