West Ham United are ready to rival Inter Milan to sign Bologna striker Santiago Castro this summer transfer window.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Bologna striker Santiago Castro has really shone in Serie A this season. The Argentine had signed for the Rossoblu last January.
However, since then Castro has been a mainstay in the Bologna lineup.
Castro has been the player who’s filled the void left by Joshua Zirkzee in attack.
The 20-year-old has scored seven goals and made four assists in Serie A so far this campaign.
And Castro’s form for Bologna has attracted the attention of bigger clubs in Serie A.
Above all, Inter Milan are eyeing up a move for the Argentine.

The Nerazzurri are all but certain to make an attacking signing this summer. They will have to replace the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa in attack.
And the priority will be to sign a young player who lowers the average age of the squad. Santiago Castro certainly ticks that box.
Moreover, the 20-year-old is well-suited to life in Serie A. As he has demonstrated this season.
And the feeling is that Castro has the right profile to play in Inter’s 3-5-2 system. Like his countryman Lautaro Martinez, he has the versatility and workrate to lead the line beyond just the penalty area.
Tuttosport report that Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has had scouts monitoring Castro at virtually every Bologna match.
However, Inter will face competition for the Rossoblu striker’s signature. Particularly from the Premier League.
Tuttosport report that West Ham United are also monitoring Castro as a summer transfer target.
The newspaper report that Bologna want a fee of around €25-30 million for Castro.
