West Ham United host Burnley on Saturday in their first home match since securing a vital 3-1 win over Newcastle United.
That victory was their first of the season at the London Stadium. It also ended a damaging six-game winless run. Now, Nuno Espírito Santo is aiming to guide his side to back-to-back league wins for the first time since February.
The Hammers should be confident, as they are unbeaten in their last six Premier League games against Burnley. Furthermore, they have a strong record when scoring against the Clarets. In fact, West Ham have not lost in their last 11 games in which they have scored. However, their defence remains a concern. They have faced the most shots from set-pieces of any team in the league this season.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad is still stretched by injuries. Forwards Niclas Füllkrug (leg) and Dinos Mavropanos (leg) are both unavailable. The manager confirmed they are not expected back until after the international break. In addition, George Earthy and Ollie Scarles are also unavailable.
Tomáš Souček is likely to compete for a starting spot with Freddie Potts and Mateus Fernandes, who both impressed in the win over Newcastle. Callum Wilson is expected to lead the line. He has an excellent record against Burnley, with seven career goals against them.
West Ham United predicted XI: Areola; Wan-Baka, Todibo, Kilman, Diouf; Magassa, Soucek; Bowen, Paquetá, Summerville; Wilson
The Premier League fixture takes place at the London Stadium on Saturday, 8 November 2025. The match will kick off at 3:00 pm GMT.
This match will not air live in the UK due to the 3:00 pm GMT Saturday blackout.
