Congolese international striker Gabriel Charpentier has completed a transfer to Polish side KS Cracovia, signing a one-year deal with an option for two additional seasons.

The Polish club secured the 26-year-old's services for a transfer fee of €2 million paid to Italian Serie A side Parma AC, who will also retain a 15% sell-on clause for any future transfer.

Cracovia had been monitoring the Congolese forward for some time and ultimately succeeded in securing his signature despite competing interest from other clubs. The striker arrives from Parma, where he previously competed in Italy's top football division.

In a significant transfer coup, KS Cracovia has secured the signing of Gabriel Charpentier despite strong competition from both domestic rivals Lech Poznań and Cypriot club Pafos FC.

As previously reported by Africafoot, the Congolese international had been a prime target for Lech Poznań, making Cracovia's acquisition a notable achievement within the Polish top flight. The club further managed to outmaneuver Pafos FC, who had presented a formal €2 million offer for a three-year contract.

Ultimately, Charpentier personally elected to pursue Cracovia's sporting project, declining other opportunities to join the Polish side.
