Three different teams could claim the lead of the Serie A table on Saturday night, as title candidates Inter, Juventus, Milan and Atalanta all take to the stage following the completion of the November international break.

The Serie A title race is currently the closest in any of Europe’s top 10 divisions. Only two points separate the teams between first and sixth, and four of those teams all sit on the same points tallies.

Napoli currently lead the way with 26  points from their opening 12 matches of the season. Antonio Conte’s side will host Roma on Saturday.

What Atalanta, Inter and Juventus need for the Serie A lead

Atalanta, who visit Parma on Saturday evening, are currently in second place in the division, just one point off the Nerazzurri. A draw will be enough for them to overtake Napoli, but Inter are also in action on Saturday, so they will likely require three points to claim top spot.

Like Atalanta, Inter also have 25 points, but currently sit in fourth behind Fiorentina on goal difference. Simone Inzaghi’s side will play away against Hellas Verona at 14.00 on Saturday and will require a victory and an Atalanta draw or loss if they are to lead the table tonight.

In sixth place is Juventus, who could also mathematically take the lead of the Serie A table if they beat Milan away from home, but they will also require Atalanta to lose and for Inter to not win.

The Rossoneri are six points behind the Bianconeri in seventh, but have a game in hand and will put themselves right back in the race with a victory against the Bianconeri.
