Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti provided an interesting response, when drawn on the success of Barcelona’s efforts to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor with La Liga this week.

The headline news in the Barcelona camp this past Wednesday, of course, came in the form of confirmation that summer signings Olmo and Víctor have been afforded precautionary registration for the 2nd half of the campaign.

After seeing appeals rejected by both La Liga and the RFEF, Joan Laporta and co. were forced to take the matter to court.

And, in a major boost for the Blaugrana, the CSD (Spanish Higher Sports Council) ultimately came to the conclusion that the respective registrations of Olmo and Víctor should be granted.

News of as much has since not gone down at all well across the La Liga landscape, with a number of clubs having made clear their dismay with the decision of the CSD.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side’s victory over Mallorca on Thursday night, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of as much was put to the aforementioned Carlo Ancelotti.

Real Madrid are due to face off with arch rivals Barca in the final of the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday, with Hansi Flick’s personnel options having now been significantly boosted.

In a cleverly worded response, Ancelotti therefore went on to admit:

“I have an opinion, but I don’t want to give it…”
