An insight into the likeliest squad number set to be handed to new Real Madrid signing Franco Mastantuono has this week been forthcoming.

Youngster Mastantuono of course completed his long-awaited Real Madrid switch last month.

Following months of rampant speculation, Los Blancos beat out widespread competition for the signing of one of world football’s most exciting young talents.

After playing his part in River Plate’s campaign at the Club World Cup, Mastantuono has since been enjoying a well-earned vacation.

Next week, though, the 17-year-old will be expected at Valdebebas to begin training with Xabi Alonso’s star-studded squad.

And as alluded to above, with a view to as much, Mastantuono’s predicted Real Madrid squad number has been revealed.

The info comes courtesy of Diario AS, who have confirmed that:

‘The next step should be Endrick’s move to number 9. That’s the most likely scenario. If that happens, only number 16 would be free. And it would fall to Mastantuono.’
