Roma are currently €5 million away from Flamengo’s valuation of full-back Wesley, whilst Brighton are insistent a deal for Irish striker Evan Ferguson contains an obligation for the Giallorossi to purchase the player permanently, reports from Italy claim.
According to today’s edition of Italian newspaper the Corriere dello Sport, Roma are still pushing to add the duo to their squad but are not quite yet at the final point of negotiations.

The reports suggest that Flamengo are demanding €25 million for full-back Wesley, with the Giallorossi only having offered up to €20 million so far. However, there is optimism that a deal can be agreed.
The operation for Evan Ferguson is a little more complex than Roma’s pursuit of Wesley. New head coach Gian Piero Gasperini is reportedly intrigued by the Irish striker but Premier League side Brighton are making it difficult for the Giallorossi to explore a deal.

The intention for a loan deal is there between the clubs but they face a disagreement over the buy-out clause. Brighton wish for the clause to be an obligation-to-buy, whilst Roma were initially set on one with an option-to-buy.
This further complicates matters as the Seagulls have set the price-tag of Ferguson to between €30 and €40 million; representing considerable investment from the Giallorossi if they are set on completing this transfer.
