Arsenal host Burnley in the Premier League this evening with the title race in their own hands.
Regardless of results elsewhere, the North London side will win the Premier League for the first time in 22 years if they can secure victories against Burnley and Crystal Palace across their final two fixtures.
However, Arsenal could be crowned champions as soon as tomorrow if results go their way. Should Mikel Arteta’s team beat Burnley, and Manchester City fail to win at Bournemouth on Tuesday night, the Gunners will be Premier League champions.
Tonight’s fixture at the Emirates could take Arsenal a huge step closer, and Arteta has called on the club’s home fans to be a 12th player tonight.
“Our 12th man, and a magic player, I would say,” he said when describing the club’s support at his pre-match press conference.
“Because when the stadium provides that level of energy, of passion, of optimism, of playing every single action with the team. When we have the ball, with us, when the opponent has the ball, against the opponent, in every element, they live the game like that.
“The value of that is just infinite. You cannot measure it, and the team becomes different; it’s as simple as that.”
