For a professional footballer, the day of their debut is forever etched in their memory. On July 3, we remember an important moment in the careers of our youth players Raúl Martínez and Yael Padilla, who played their first official match with Guadalajara's first team against León at the Nou Camp stadium on Matchday 1 of the 2023 Apertura Tournament.

The match was tied 1-1 when, in the 73rd minute, Yael Padilla entered the field, replacing Isaac "El Cone" Brizuela. That night, he put in an outstanding performance, which he capped off just eight minutes later by scoring his first goal in the First Division; an unforgettable moment that gave the team the win and made him one of the youngest Chivas players to score his first goal.

Raúl Martínez, meanwhile, came on in the 87th minute to replace Víctor Guzmán. The central defender showed personality and left a good impression in the final minutes of the match, putting in a solid performance on his debut with the Rebaño.

Since then, both players have shown significant growth in their professional careers, with Yael being a constant fixture in the Mexican youth teams and, despite his young age, establishing himself as a regular option coming off the bench. On the other hand, Raúl overcame a complicated knee injury, returning with strength and determination, showing character and maturity in every game since his return to the pitch.

Without a doubt, both have shown their great potential to continue growing at the club and represent the fruit of the work done in the youth academy, as well as the institution's ongoing commitment to developing young talent, fundamental pillars in the Rojiblanco DNA.
