Who is David Nzanza? Castellón sign ‘Ninja’ forward from Portugal’s fourth tier | OneFootball

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Castellón and Leça have agreed a deal for Angolan forward David Nzanza, who signs until 30 June 2030. The striker arrives after scoring 14 goals in 32 Campeonato de Portugal matches last season.

Born in Luanda on 28 September 2003, David Muale Nzanza is right-footed and can play across the front line. He operates as a centre forward or off either flank. Known for a ‘Ninja’ celebration, he offers versatility to bolster the attack.

Castellón’s recruitment increasingly leans on data analysis and profiles with room to grow. In that context, Nzanza is a present-and-future signing from Portugal’s fourth tier, with a scoring record and early international exposure. It is a major opportunity for him to show he can perform in Spain’s second division.

Nzanza developed at GD Interclube de Angola before moving to SC Braga in 2022, featuring for their B side and in Liga Revelação. He then continued in Czech football with SC Znojmo and Baník Ostrava B. He returned to Portugal to join Leça.

Regular minutes at Leça brought continuity and prominence, culminating in a campaign that caught Castellón’s eye. His growth last term owed much to his runs into space, penalty area presence and finishing instinct. He has also represented Angola at under-17 level at both the 2019 Africa finals and the World Cup.
