Emilien Grange has been crowned winner of the Jérémy-Perbet trophy after scoring 16 goals in R3 for La Séauve. According to Le Progres, the award, organised by the newspaper, recognises the top scorer among Haute-Loire clubs competing at regional level.

Oscar Goubly’s four goals on the final R2 matchday narrowed the race, but Grange finished on top. He had led the standings for much of the campaign.

Grange said the chatter around the ranking grew during the run-in. He tracked scorers each weekend, notably Diouf, and admitted it had become a personal target, leaving him relieved at the finish.

He was 11th in last year’s table, but this season has been the best of his young career.

The business and administration student has 20 goals in all competitions, including cups.
