Milan will have to do without head coach Massimiliano Allegri through suspension for Tuesday evening’s Coppa Italia clash against Lecce, which means that Marco Landucci is set to step in as the temporary Rossoneri head coach in San Siro.

Milan are taking on Lecce in the second round of the 2025-26 Coppa Italia on Tuesday evening. You can follow the action from tonight’s match as it unfolds on the Football Italia Liveblog.

Who will serve as Milan head coach against Lecce in Coppa Italia?

Allegri will serve the second match of a two-match Coppa Italia ban he picked up during the 2024 final, when he was still in charge of Juventus. He served the first game of that ban during Milan’s first round win over Bari in August and will serve the second against Lecce.

That means that Allegri’s duties will be handed over to his assistant, Landucci on Tuesday evening.

Landucci has worked under Allegri for just shy of 20 years. A former Serie A and Serie B journeyman during his playing days, Landucci first came to work with Allegri at Grosseto in 2006. Landucci was working as a goalkeeper coach at the time of Allegri’s appointment.

From there, Landucci has followed Allegri everywhere.

He went on to serve as Allegri’s assistant at Cagliari between 2006 and 2008, served as a goalkeeper coach for Milan between 2010 and 2014, was twice assistant coach during Allegri’s two spells with Juventus, and has returned to San Siro with Allegri as an assistant for his second spell with Milan.
