Andrew will miss Flamengo’s derby with Vasco, with the goalkeeper unavailable as his registration cannot be completed in time.

According to Coluna Do Fla, his paperwork from Gil Vicente arrived early on Tuesday 20. With Rio de Janeiro marking a public holiday, the federation was closed. Flamengo therefore lacked time to register him.

Andrew has been training with the first team since last week and had been in action for Gil Vicente. Without the documentation issue, he would have been available to face Vasco.

He joined to bolster the goalkeeping position after Matheus Cunha departed at the end of last season. He will compete with Rossi, and the expectation is that he could get opportunities in upcoming Carioca matches.

Flamengo face Vasco in the third round of the Carioca on Wednesday 21, with kick-off at 21:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã.
