Representatives from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich made contact with their counterparts at La Liga outfit Osasuna, on the back of their recent victory over Barcelona.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Diario de Navarra, who have on Monday provided an insight into the situation.
Osasuna, of course, secured for themselves the result of the weekend in Spain’s top-flight, this past Saturday.
As much came courtesy of a thoroughly deserved 4-2 downing of a Barcelona outfit who had, until then, rattled off seven wins from seven to open the La Liga campaign.
The result grabbed headlines across all of Spain, both owing to Barca’s struggles, and the impressive attacking exploits put forth by Osasuna.
As alluded to above, though, the impact of the Rojillos’ triumph was not only noted in La Liga.
In addition, as much was quickly taken note of by one of German football’s leading clubs, in the form of Bayern Munich.
As per a report from the aforementioned MD:
‘On Saturday night, representatives of Osasuna received a call from Bastian Wernscheid, Bayern’s technical secretary, to express his admiration for the result, for the football played and especially for Bryan Zaragoza’s great game.’
Wide-man Zaragoza, who found the net amid a fine display on Saturday, of course linked up with Osasuna on loan from Bayern Munich during the summer.
